Here we take a look at the top C’s in today’s game. In this post I will talk about what each player strength is on the court.
1. DeMarcus Cousins
25.2P 12.9R 5.4A 1.6S 1.6B
He is the best center in the entire league and if he didn’t get injured who knows he could of been in the MVP discussion. But let’s get right into his strength . Offensively we have not see any center in our league who has Cousins skill set. In my opinion his biggest strength is that he is a will play-maker. Can beat you inside and outside. Also has the ability to cross up his defender like a guard. He can get to where he wants to go on the court. Great post up game.
Inside scoring- 10
2. Nikola Jokic
17.6P 10.4R 5.9A 1.1S 0.8B
If you have not watched a Denver nuggets all seasoned you have been missing out of Jokic. His biggest strength is that he is a pass first center. Who has the ability to shoot from all over the court. He isn’t the most athletic player but already he has shown that he has a high basketball IQ. Denver runs there offense through him. That’s how much they trust there big man.
3. Joel Embiid
23.2P 11.1R 3.2A 0.6S 1.8B
To be the best you copy the best. I’m not saying Embid has no originality to his game but if you watched basketball in the 80s/90s he does have a lot of “dream” in his game. Never the less Embid is starting to become a really great player. He is pretty solid on offense and defense. To go along with his skills he is also 7’2 with good touch from mid range. Stay healthy big man.
4. Andre Drummond
14.8P 15.9R 3.1A 1.5S 1.7B
52.4% – 2P 0-3P
Drummond’s is an excellent rebounder who is a high motor guy. Drummond’s is what you call a throw back player. He is always working to get his team an extra possession. Outstanding offense rebounder which leads the NBA. A very solid young big man with a lot of potential to become a dominate Center in today’s 3 point happy league.
5. DeAndre Jordan
12.3P 15.4R 1.5A 0.6S 1B
DeAndre has become the forgotten big in LA. What makes DJ a top 5 player at the center position? His motor, he leads by examples. DJ doesn’t take plays off, he’s a monster on the boards and extremely relentless. Excellent defender. His offense still needs to come together but still a very valuable player in today’s game.
