My Top 3 At full Health

A lot of people ask me.

Who is the best player in the NBA?

My response is always the same.

You have to state that a player is at full health. Then I rate them off what they did during their last playoff run. Followed by what they did in the last few regular seasons.

Here are my top 3 NBA players.

1. Kevin Durant

Age- 31

Why- He is simply unguardedly at 7ft. He can pull up from anywhere on the court.

Knock on him- Achilles tendon. Can he bounce back to what he was before?

What if he is even better?

Last time I saw Kevin Durant on the court he was on the Golden State Warriors and he was destroying teams. Before getting injured he was shooting 90/50/40. If you don’t know what that means. It means he is unstoppable! Those numbers are how well he was shooting the ball. I’ll explain he was 90% from the Free Throw Line, 51% from the field , and a staggering 44% from 3P.

Imagine Kevin Durant with more usage….

Kevin Durant is still in the latter half of his prime.

You don’t think he will be motivated to make sure he is known as the best player in the league.

I do.

2. Kawhi Leonard

Age- 28

Why- Can score at will and lock up almost every opponent in the league!

Knock on him- Not loyal / load management.

Kawhi Leonard is coming off his 2nd ring. He has proved to everyone that he can carry a team and win a championship.

He locked Giannis Antetokounmpo in the ECF. Put that argument to bed because both teams were constructed similar. Kawhi Leonard ended being the top dog. At this point the 2x finals mvp is in the midst of his prime. He has a team around him ready to contend for a title now. If he wins back to back titles. He will be the best player in the league without a doubt!

3. Lebron James

Age- 35

Why- He is still a freight train with high basketball IQ.

Knock on him- Defensive Consistency/ Free Throws

At this stage in his career I can’t say theirs many players that are better than Lebron James. His defense and lateral mobility has sharply decline over the last few seasons. But he has made up for that with his all around offense play. Crashing the boards at will because he is the one of the biggest players in the league. I think Lebron James is one of strongest players in the league. He’s a bully. 🙁 Also he has improved his efficiency around the rim. Only 2 players have been able to knocked off Lebron James. One on One Lebron is still a tank and he’ll be a top 5 player for a lot more years. The only reason he has slipped is due to lack of defensive consistency.

What has been taken into factor:

Playoff experience ✅

Nba titles ✅

Dominance while on the court ✅

Leadership ✅
