The Golden State Warriors Franchise Mirrors The Spurs Dynasty

The Golden State Warriors are proving that once again that they are an elite franchise!

“Tanking is a necessary tool to reap a high lottery draft pick. You either want to be really bad or really good.” -Bballscholar

If you don’t learn about your history than history will always find a funny way of repeating itself.

The Golden State Warriors front office understands how to use the NBA rules to their advantage. Manipulating the rules and for their benefits!

I can confidently say that the Golden State Warriors are mirroring what the San Antonio Spurs did with their big 3.

I mean why not , right? That dynasty lasted a lot longer than we all expected. 15 years to be exact. (1999-2014)

Remember that the Warriors head coach , Steve Kerr played and won 2 NBA championships with the San Antonio Spurs.

Does anyone remember in the 90s when David Robinson sat out for extended time with an injury. The San Antonio Spurs went to have one of the worst records that year and poof!

Then landed Tim Duncan!

A franchise player who went on to win 5 NBA championships!

Back to Kerr and his important role, because he knows the blueprint to master ultimate success for a dynasty. He was apart of two as a player.

Also, Steve Kerr did have the two best coaches to learn from.

(Coach Popovich & Coach Phil Jackson.)

Tim Duncan’s career is eerily similar to Stephen Curry’s. Who revolutionary the NBA game today.

Tim Duncan won 3 NBA titles and 2 mvps relatively early in his career. Stephen Curry has won 3 championships with 2 MVP’s. Both players even won back to back MVP’s. And Stephen Curry is the only Unanimous MVP ever!

MVP’S:

2001 – 2002 & 2002 – 2003 (Tim Duncan)

2014 – 2015 & 2015 – 2016 (Stephen Curry)
