This nba playoffs has been a reflection of the NBA’s greed and lack of star power. People who watch the nba want to see the NBA’s best product. How can we watch the best product if all the stars always getting hurt due to a condensed schedule.
Now I have been clear on my stance with Chris Paul. He is a Great player he is just not my type cup of tea. Not a fan of his silly child-like antics.
But I also see a clear narrative in this nba finals.
To get Chris Paul his first ring!
16 years of service.
Bring up Booker allow him to taste the lime light to his long future as a nba star battling for multiple chips! Yea I can see all of that.
On the other hand we have the Bucks.
A team that overcame all the odds this year.
But their superstar Giannis is a one trick pony and hasn’t fully rounded out his game. At this point in his career he has all the accolades but no jump shot.
So how could he possibly win a ring being that guy!
Don’t get me wrong Giannis is extremely athletic and that ability hides a lot of his flaws. But do nba fans want to see his style winning?
🤫🤫🤫🤫
Let’s take a look at the nba finals ratings over the last decade.

This graph shows that the nba has lost over 60% of their viewership in their NBA finals.
Are people not tuning in to basketball like once before? Are these future “stars” going to carry the torch?
Hence why “Booker is in these NBA finals.”
Is the NBA better or worse since you started watching?

I think (hope) this finals is an anomaly. I love the young Suns and I do root for Paul. And I absolutely agree with you about Giannis.
