CHICAGO BULLS VS ATLANTA HAWKS 4OT’S ! (3/1/19) YOUNG DUEL!

LAST NIGHT’S GAME FINISHED IN 4 OT WITH 68 MINUTES BEING PLAYED. THIS GAME WAS UNUSUALLY ENTERTAINING!WE GOT TO SEE THE YOUNG FUTURE STARS OF THE NBA GOING AT IT. ATLANTA HAWKS ROOKIE TRAE YOUNG (20) AND CHICAGO BULLS STAR ZACH LAVINE (23).

168 CHICAGO BULLS

161 ATLANTA HAWKS

GAME SYNOPSIS:

THIS GAME WAS FREE FLOWING FROM THE START AS BOTH TEAMS WERE SHOOTING CLOSE TO 50% FOR THE ENTIRE GAME. THIS GAME ALSO HAD 36 TURNOVERS IN COMBINED IN TOTAL. OUR 2 YOUNG STARS CONTRIBUTED 17 TURNOVERS. WHICH IS TELLING TO HOW MUCH THE COACHES PUT THE OFFENSE IN THEIR HANDS.

FOR CHICAGO THEY SHOT 47.1% FROM THE FIELD AND AS A TEAM THEY WERE ALL PLAYING AGGRESSIVE DRIVING TO THE BASKETBALL AS THE TEAM SHOT 35/48 FROM THE FT LINE.

DIFFERENT FOR ATLANTA STORY:

ATLANTA GOT TO THE FT LINE ABOUT HALF THE TIME AS THEY SHOT 17/25 FROM THE FT LINE. THEY MADE UP FOR THAT LACK OF FREE THROW ATTEMPTS BY HTTING THEIR OPEN SHOTS AS THEY SHOT 49.6% FROM THE FIELD.

BOTH TEAMS ARE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CONFERENCE. THESE 2 TEAMS WILL NOT BEING MAKE THE PLAYOFFS BUT THE FUTRUE COULD BE BRIGHT!

TRAE YOUNG IS NOT OUT OF IT , HE STILL HAS A SHOT AT WINNING ROOKIE OF THEY YEAR. HE HAS BEEN GETTING BETTER EACH AND EVERY GAME SINCE THE ALL STAR GAME.

BEST BASKETBALL QUALITIES:

TO ME HIS TOP 3 BEST BASKETBALL QUALITIES IS FIRST HIS SPEED. HE ALSO HAS GREAT COURT AWARENESS AND HIS BALL HANDLING IS VERY GOOD AS HE ABLE TO GET A LOT OF LAY UPS. HIS SHOOTING IS A BIT INCONSISTENT BUT HE IS STILL ABLE TO SCORE. BUT HAVING THOSE QUALITIES AS A POINT GAURD WILL LEAD HIM TO GREATNESS. ESPECIALLY HOW THE LEAGUE IS FORMING WITH LOTS OF SPACE FOR OFFENSES. TO BE HONEST TRAE YOUNG COULD VERY DEADLY IN THIS LEAGUE AND HIS FUTURE IS NOW! SO KEEP SHOWING OUT.

FUN FACT ABOUT TRAE YOUNG:

TRAE YOUNG IS THE ONLY ROOKIE TO PUT UP 45P 15A IN NBA HISTORY.

HE HAS THE MOST POINTS FOR A ROOKIE IN ATLANTA HAWKS HISTORY.

ZACH LAVINE SHOULD US THAT HE HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE A TOP PLAYER IN THE ENTIRE LEAGUE ONE DAY. CLEARLY HE HAS ANOTHER LEVEL HE NEEDS TO TAP INTO AND FOR HIM TO BRING MORE CONSISTENCY EVERY NIGHT. HIS GAME IS SILKY SMOOTH AND HE ALMSOT HAS NO HOLES IN HIS OFFENSIVE GAME. AS HE HAS THE ABILTY TO DO WHATEVER HE WANTS ON THE COURT. BUT AT THE AGE OF 23 COULD THIS GAME BE HIS TURNING POINT IN HIS CAREER? I DON’T KNOW BUT I WANT TO SEE MORE FROM HIM. HE IS FULLY CAPABLE OF BRINGING THIS!

HERE ARE HIGHLIGHTS OF LAST NIGHT STARS:

TRAE YOUNG:

ZACH LAVINE:

WHAT DO YOU THINK THESE PLAYERS? AND CAN YOU SEE ANY OF THESE TWO STARS WINNING ANY AWARDS?

OKC THUNDER VS UTAH JAZZ 2OT THRILLER! OKC OVERVIEW(2/22/19)

THE SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON IS UPON US!

OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER FANS WERE EXTREMELY THUNDEROUS ABOUT LAST NIGHTS VICTORY. THE THUNDER HAVE ONE OF THE LOUDEST ARENAS IN THE ENTIRE NBA. THIS GAME HAD A LOT OF INTENSITY AS IF THIS WERE A PLAYOFF GAME.

DURING THIS GAME THERE WERE 23 LEAD CHANGES AND 21 TIES. IT TOOK 2 OVERTIMES AND A GAME WINNING SHOT BY PAUL GEORGE FOR THE THUNDER TO GET THE WIN.

AS OKC IMPROVES TO 38-20 THEY REMAIN IN 3RD PLACE IN THE WEST.

UTAH REMAINS IN THE PLAYOFFS AS THE 6TH SEED. THEIR RECORD IS CURRENTLY 32-26.

FINAL SCORE:

147 UTA

148 OKC

2OT

DID YOU KNOW?

THEY ARE THE FIRST TEAMMATES THIS SEASON TO PULL THIS IMPRESSIVE OUTPUT AS THEY COMBINED FOR 88 POINTS.

MVP DISCUSSIONS:

PAUL GEORGE HAS BEEN BALLING OUT HIS MIND THIS SEASON AS HE MAKES A HUGE PUSH TOWARDS THE TOP OF THE MVP RACE. AS RIGHT NOW I WOULD HAVE PAUL GEORGE SLIGHTLY BEHIND GIANNIS FOR MVP. THE LAST STRETCH OF THE SEASON WILL PROVE WHICH PLAYER WANTS IT MORE.

THIS IS PAUL GEORGE’S LAST 12 GAMES IN SCORING NOT INCLUDING LAST NIGHTS PERFORMANCE.

GAME OVERVIEW:

THE GAME WAS GOING BACK AND FORTH AS THE THUNDER STARTED TO PULL AWAY TOWARDS THE END OF THE 2ND QUARTER. THE JAZZ FREE FLOWING OFFENSE AND EXCELLENT BALL MOVEMENT KEPT THEM IN THE GAME. RUSSELL WESTBROOK INGRAINED HIMSELF EARLY AS HE WOULD OFTEN TAKE THE BALL IN THE POST (WHICH I PERSONALLY LOVE) AND GET EASY SHOTS AS HE BULLIED HIS DEFENDERS. ALSO HE WAS GETTING A LOT OF EASY ASSISTS.

WHY?

BECAUSE WESTBROOK IN THE POST IS A PROBLEM MAINLY BECAUSE HIS SIZE AND STRENGTH.

AT HALF TIME THE SCORE WAS

57 UTA

66 OKC

AT THE END OF THE 3RD QUARTER THE JAZZ TOOK THE LEAD AS THEY KEPT MOVING THE BALL WELL AND KEEPING OKC HONEST ON DEFENSE WITH THERE 3 POINT SHOOTING.

95 UTA

93 OKC

THE JAZZ MADE A RUN EARLY IN THE FORTH AND STILL REMAIN AHEAD BUT PAUL GEORGE PUT THIS TEAM ON HIS BACK AND SAID THIS IS MY NEW STANDARD NOW PUT SOME RESPECT ON MY NAME!

HE WENT INTO HIS BAG AS HE TOOK OVER THE 4TH AND BOTH OVERTIMES TO GET THE VICTORY.

WHAT THIS GAME TAUGHT ME:

BALL MOVEMENT IS ALWAYS THE BEST OPTION IN CREATING EASY OFFENSE.

ALSO

GREAT PLAYERS NEED TO TAKE OVER WHEN EVERYTHING BREAKS DOWN.

THAT WAS THE DIFFERENCE IN THE GAME. PAUL GEORGE AND RUSSELL WESTBROOK CARRIED THEIR TEAM. WESTBROOK IN THE FIST HALF WITH HIS SCORING AND GEORGE IN THE 2ND HALF AND TWO OVERTIMES.

THUNDER QUESTIONS:

ARE THEY THE BEST DUO IN THE NBA?

HOW FAR CAN THE THUNDER GO?

JAZZ QUESTION:

WHICH PLAYER WILL BE YOUR 2ND AND 3RD OFFENSE OPTION?
